Membership and Day Permit Information
Being a Kelowna Snowmobile Club member means fun for the whole family, teamwork, friends, playing responsibly!
At the Kelowna Snowmobile Club, we know how lucky we are to have great riding terrain ranging far and wide that we all share and call our home. We encourage members and visitors to act and ride responsibly and to respect the environment, wildlife, club facilities and other park users.
Single day trail permits are offered for visiting, non-club members. Also a full season membership is offered for single riders or for families at a discounted rate. Full season memberships are valid from November 1st, of the year the membership is purchased, to October 31st of the following year.
Monies collected from Day Permits, Membership fees and Donated Contributions help fund trail signing, brushing maintenance, club operational costs, the ever increasing cost of fuel for the groomer and annual maintenance of our four club shelters. As well as annual Insurance costs for the groomer and club shelters and the very important support of the BC Snowmobile Federation on provincial representation etc. Without Provincial representation, we would not have a voice on important issues such as area restrictions and closures and various other issues being forced on all outdoor enthusiast clubs. Our club fights for your rights to use and enjoy the backcountry areas we ride.

Visitor Day Trail Permits
Under section 24 of the Forest Recreation Regulation a trail fee for this system has be set at a maximum of $20.00 per person, to be paid in cash. Under section 27(3) of the Forest Recreation Regulation, a person who uses our trail system without purchasing a trail pass is committing an offense and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2000
Day permits allow visitors to use the Kelowna Snowmobile Club Cabins, maintained roads, parking areas and marked, groomed trails. Without this support we couldn’t offer near the programs we do! Day Permits can be purchased at the main KSC parking area up Three Forks Rd and at mile 105 on the 201 forestry Service Rd. Day permits are $20.00 per snowmobile per day and must be paid fully in CASH.

What is expected of me as a "Trail Pass" User?
When you purchase a one day Trail Pass you are expected to treat our trail Pass Sales personnel with courtesy and respect. We ask that you ride safely and to the right at all times when on the trail systems. Please treat our club shelters like you would your home. Clean up after yourself and close the doors to the shelters when you leave them. Have and exhibit respect for the environment and other sledders. You are a representative of the sport of snowmobiling and the club expects you to portray yourself in respectful manner which is not detrimental to our sport.
What is expected of you as a member?
Display your membership sticker on your snowmobile. Besides the general rules & courtesies, we simply ask that you treat our club and cabins like you would your home. Be considerate of other members, ride responsibly, put in 4 hours of volunteer work a year. Volunteer activities include, off season trail maintenance and stocking of fire wood for the cabins. As the season evolves various simple tasks may arise which board or club members may need assistance with. You are not obligated as a member to volunteer but you will find it can be rewarding and a whole lot of fun getting out with a great bunch of people and contributing to the overall wellness of the club. With the ever growing popularity of the sport of snowmobiling it is up to club members to portray ourselves as ambassadors to the sport and also to our planet.

"JOIN TODAY"
The Dreaded Rules & Requests:
No drugs or alcohol in the buildings! Even a small amount of alcohol or one "joint" can impair your judgement and abilities making you a hazard to yourself and worse yet, to others on the trails. Medical help is a long ways away so it's up to you to keep our trail systems as safe as possible for everyone to safely enjoy.
"Lend a Hand" On your ride you may encounter fellow riders in need of assistance. It's not only your responsibility as a KSC member, but also your obligation as human being to lend assistance, to the best of your capabilities.
Members should encourage non-members to join and support the club. USE & KEEP the OUT HOUSES CLEAN. Make sure all propane is OFF when you leave a facility. Clean up after yourself & your guests, as we do not have cleaning staff, we are all volunteers. Make sure the cabin doors are securely closed when you leave. When parking your vehicle please do so in a manner considerate of other sledders as not to block or inhibit their means of egress.
ALWAYS - Pack out what you pack in. Garbage is a growing problem – It is unsightly and attracts the destructive little critters – Burn paper and cardboard, don’t leave food scraps and put the lid securly on the garbage cans.
Finally, the Kelowna Snowmobile Club asks that you have a great time. Next time bring along a friend and introduce them to the amazing scenery and the thrill of snowmobiling.
Thank you for your consideration.
